Quilts can be washed either by hand or in a washing machine. Cold to warm water is best with a mild detergent. Quilt can be dried either by laying it out or in a dryer. Set the dryer on medium heat. For longer life, remove quilt from the dryer when about 2/3 dry and lay out. Quilts that are used as wall hangings can be lightly vacuumed. As the quilts are 100% cotton exposure to direct sunlight exposure will, over time, fade the fabric.
All fabric is prewashed and the completed piece is machine washed and dried.
If you are worried that the dye may “run” during a wash cycle, (this may happen when a dark color is next to a light color. ) add synthrapol sp textile detergent (available at Dharma Trading Co) to the wash cycle.
